Services — 01 Capital Advisory
Capital advice that starts with the business, not the loan.
Capital Advisory is one of Prime Lever's two core services. Before we recommend any financing structure, we work to understand the business's financial position, its objectives, its existing obligations, and the constraint underneath the request.
Before Any Recommendation
We read four things first.
A financing recommendation is only as good as the understanding behind it. These are the questions we answer before a structure is discussed.
- 01
Financial Position
What the statements, cash flow, and balance sheet actually support today — not what a single ratio suggests.
- 02
Objectives
What the capital is meant to accomplish: growth, an acquisition, a smoother cash cycle, or a better structure than the one in place.
- 03
Existing Obligations
Every payment the business already carries, how long it runs, and what it leaves behind each month.
- 04
Underlying Constraints
The issue beneath the request. Sometimes it is access to capital. Often it is timing, pricing, collections, or structure.
Advisors, Not Brokers
Our job is to get the structure right — not simply to place a loan.
We act as strategic capital advisors. The recommendation follows the diagnosis, and the right structure is the one that leaves the business with more options than it had before.
- Starts with
- The amount requested
- The objective and the constraint
- Existing debt is
- A hurdle to work around
- Part of the structure to solve
- Success means
- A funded transaction
- Better options for the business afterward
- When capital isn't the answer
- Rarely said
- Said plainly
Financing Capabilities
The structures we work with.
Each is described in detail on our Capital Solutions page — when it's useful, what it solves, and what to consider before using it.
Asset-Based Lending
Capital secured by receivables, equipment, and inventory — sized to the assets, not cash-flow underwriting alone.
- Accounts receivable financing
- Factoring
- Inventory finance
- Equipment financing
Growth & Expansion
Capital for investments that pay back later, financed over the period they actually pay back.
- Non-bank term capital
- Growth facilities
- Delayed-draw facilities
Acquisition & Ownership Transition
Funding a purchase, a partner buyout, or a transfer of ownership while keeping the operating company liquid.
- Acquisition finance
- Partner buyouts
- Seller-note structures
Working Capital
Liquidity for the gap between doing the work and getting paid, sized deliberately with a plan to retire it.
- Business lines of credit
- Revenue-based financing
- Short-duration advances
Where It Starts
The Cash Lever X-Ray comes first.
Every Capital Advisory engagement begins with the Cash Lever X-Ray — our diagnostic read of where the business is actually constrained. It tells us whether new capital is the right lever, and if so, what structure it should take.
When the constraint is cash flow rather than access to capital, the better next step is often Financial Oxygen, our second service. Sometimes the right answer is no new capital at all.
Next step
Bring us the objective. We'll start with the diagnosis.
Start with the objective, the constraint, and the financial picture. We'll begin there.
