How We Work

The order of operations is the whole difference.

Anyone can source a quote. The value is in knowing what the business needs before a quote is requested — and being willing to say when the answer isn't capital.

The Process

Diagnose. Identify. Structure. Execute.

Applied consistently, whether the business does $2M or $200M. The depth of the work scales; the sequence does not.

  1. 01

    Diagnose

We read the financial picture before discussing capital: cash conversion, margin structure, existing obligations, and concentration.

Financial statements, debt schedule, aging reports, and the owner's own account of what changed and when.

  2. 02

    Identify

We isolate the constraint — the single condition most limiting the business right now — and separate it from its symptoms.

A timing gap, a pricing problem, a mismatched obligation, and a capacity ceiling all look alike from the bank balance.

  3. 03

    Structure

We design the response, matching any capital to the asset and cash flow behind it — or recommend no capital at all.

Amount, term, amortization, collateral, covenants, and what the structure does in a quarter that comes in short.

  4. 04

    Execute

We prepare the file, approach the right sources, manage diligence, and hold the terms through closing.

A prepared, legible file changes the terms available to a business more than any negotiation does.

Progression

Today's financing should improve tomorrow's options.

Capital taken today shouldn't quietly reduce what's available next year. Where a business qualifies, we work toward more sustainable structures over time rather than treating alternative capital as permanent capital.

  1. Starting point

    Fast, flexible working capital

Revenue-based financing, lines of credit, and short-term advances — funded quickly, sized to the need, and used with a clear plan.

  2. Next step

    Conventional capital

Where appropriate, a return to bank financing — on the strength of an improved financial position.

  3. Strengthening

    AR & asset-based facilities

Borrowing capacity that grows with receivables, inventory, and equipment as the business scales.

  4. Long-term structure

    Specialty finance

Facilities structured against what the business actually has and does, not just a credit score.

Not every business follows this path, and no single form of financing is universally superior. It is a direction of travel — toward more sustainable capital when the business qualifies for it.

Engagement

What working with us actually looks like.

  1. 01 — First conversation

Thirty to forty-five minutes. Objective, constraint, and financial picture at a high level. No documents required.

  2. 02 — Financial review

Statements, debt schedule, and aging. We assemble the Cash Lever X-Ray and return a written read of where the business is constrained.

  3. 03 — Structure recommendation

A specific recommendation with the reasoning behind it — including the case for doing nothing, when that is the honest answer.

  4. 04 — Market approach

We prepare the file and approach sources that fit the profile. You see the terms and the trade-offs, not just the winner.

  5. 05 — Close and after

We manage diligence to funding, then set the checkpoints for the next twelve months so the structure stays matched to the business.

Principles

What we hold to, regardless of the transaction.

Diagnosis before product

We will not quote a structure before we understand what it is meant to fix.

Structure over rate

Amortization, collateral, covenants, and prepayment usually matter more than the headline number.

Willing to decline

If financing would harm the business, we say so — even when a transaction was available.

Discretion

Owner financials are handled quietly, shared only with sources relevant to the mandate.
